Our red and white party went bust this year. Some may remember the big bashes we threw at Coronation Rd and Rochester in 2005 and 2006 respectively, where all the drinks and food were red and white?

Ah, how time flies.

But this year, I was duty editing and in charge of the parade coverage and G was working in CT-ICU.

Sigh. No party this year I guess. Ah well. C'est La Vie.

Gene in his new haircut and look

Not bad at all eh?

We just went for a haircut with our regular hair-man, George. Yes, both of us at the same time...

And at first, I thought nothing of it. I asked for Eugene to look completely new and hip, and my hair to go shorter - and we both liked the haircuts very much.

Then; it struck me this morning while I was blade-ing (and Gene was haring off on a 40 km bike ride) at east coast: argghhh, he made Gene look like D. Beckham and my do is faintly like his wife's.
Arrgggghhh...

It's not fair; the weight is just sloughing off Dr G while I have to contend with the yo-yo effect!

Like there's a physiological conspiracy here. We exercise, do the diet, cut out carbs - and we lose a mere kilo at best, and within a week put it back on again with the water rentention.

The males just cut out sugar from their coffees in the morning and they lose like five kilos. It's annoying I swear.
